Terms of Service
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These Terms apply to every Discord bot, website and dashboard published under UtilBots.com, including bots added in the future (together, the "Services"). Some bots have extra terms at the end of this page. If those conflict with the general terms, the bot-specific terms win for that bot.
1. Who we are and agreeing to these Terms
The Services are operated by UtilBots.com ("we", "us"). By adding a bot to a Discord server, using its commands, logging in to a dashboard or paying for a plan, you agree to these Terms. If you add a bot on behalf of a server, community or organisation, you confirm you have the authority to accept these Terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Discord and eligibility
Our bots run on Discord. You must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times, and you must meet Discord's minimum age for your region. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord. If Discord restricts or removes a bot or your access to it, we are not responsible for the consequences.
3. The Services
Our bots are offered free or freemium: core features are free, and some features, higher limits or faster updates may require a paid plan. We describe what each plan includes on the bot's own site and may change plans, limits and features over time. We provide the Services "as available" and do not promise any particular feature will always exist.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or use a bot to harass, threaten, defraud or harm others;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Services, our servers or other users' data;
- use automation to bypass plan limits, rate limits or paywalls, or resell access to a paid plan without our written permission;
- use a bot's output in a way the bot's own terms forbid (see the bot-specific terms below); or
- help anyone else do any of the above.
We may rate-limit, suspend or remove a bot from a server, or block a user or server, if we think these rules are being broken or the Services are being put at risk.
5. Accounts, servers and permissions
Bots ask for the Discord permissions they need to work. Server administrators decide which permissions to grant and are responsible for who in their server can run commands and change settings. You are responsible for activity under your Discord account and for keeping your login secure. A paid plan belongs to the account that bought it and applies only to the servers it is assigned to.
6. Paid plans and payments
- Processing. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor (currently Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number. The processor's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment.
- Subscriptions. Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. The price, period and plan features are shown before you pay. Taxes may be added where required.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the bot's dashboard or billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep paid features until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Refunds. We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee: if you ask for a refund within 7 days of a payment, we will refund that payment in full. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable and we do not give partial refunds for unused time, except where the law requires otherwise. To request a refund, email contact@utilbots.com from the account that paid, or from the address on your receipt.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods and will give notice before the change applies to you.
- Chargebacks. We may suspend paid features while a payment dispute is open.
7. Data and privacy
To work, a bot processes information Discord gives it, such as server, channel, role and user IDs, command inputs and the settings you choose (for example a saved location or alert channel). Paid plans also involve billing information held by our payment processor. We use this data to run, secure and improve the Services, and we do not sell it. Each bot only stores what it needs for its features, and you can ask us to delete the data for your account or server by contacting us. Removing a bot from your server stops it receiving new data from that server. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full.
8. Third-party data and services
Bots may show data or content from other providers, such as government weather services. We do not control that data and it can be late, incomplete or wrong. We are not responsible for third-party services or for any change, outage or restriction by them.
9. Availability and changes
Bots may go offline for maintenance, updates, Discord outages or reasons outside our control. We may change, suspend or retire any bot or feature. For a paid feature we retire, we will give notice and, where it makes sense, a pro-rata refund of the unused period.
10. Ownership
We own the Services, including the code, names, logos and design. You may use them only as these Terms allow. You keep ownership of the content you put into a bot, and you give us the limited right to process it to provide the Services. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not guarantee the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.
12. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law permits.
13. Indemnity
You agree to cover reasonable losses we suffer from a claim by a third party that arises from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.
14. Ending your use
You can stop using a bot at any time by removing it from your server and cancelling any paid plan. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or put the Services at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity and governing law) continue after use ends.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will give notice, for example in a bot's support channel or on its site. Using the Services after a change means you accept the new Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts there have jurisdiction over disputes, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
17. Contact
Questions, data requests or billing problems: contact@utilbots.com, or ask in our support server.
Bot-specific terms
StormBot (stormbot.utilbots.com)
- Not for life-safety decisions. StormBot relays National Weather Service (NWS) alerts, forecasts and other weather data. Alerts can be delayed, missed or wrong, and the bot can be offline. Never rely on StormBot as your only source of warnings. Follow official NWS guidance, local emergency officials and weather radio.
- Data source. Weather data comes from the NWS and related public sources. We are not the NWS and do not speak for it.
- Plans. Free, Plus and Pro differ in saved regions, alert-check frequency, radar features and Weather Radio time, as shown on the StormBot pricing page. Limits may change as described in section 3.
- Weather Radio. The NOAA Weather Radio stream is a public broadcast relayed into your voice channel for convenience. Availability depends on the broadcast and on Discord.
